A founding member of Megadeth, David has sold more than 30 million albums worldwide and won a Grammy Award. He also founded Ellefson Coffee Co. and Ellefson Films, and continues performing with Metal Church, Kings of Thrash, Metal Allegiance, and through his solo projects.
In 2018, Jackson Mayor Wayne Walter proclaimed October 9 “David Ellefson Day” in honor of his achievements and continued connection to his hometown.

What a great way to wrap up a fun weekend in Las Vegas! Caught up with my friends Damon Johnson, Rickey Medlocke and the fellas in Lynyrd Lynyrd Skynyrd as they rocked the Pearl at the Palms. Also ran into Eric Singer, who knows good music when he hears it! 🤘
Now it’s time to head to Japan with Metal Church for three shows in Tokyo this weekend; Friday, Saturday and Sunday, October 9, 10 and 11!

Shocking to hear the news of the passing of Cronos from Venom
His unmistakable image, those red boots and that evil-sounding voice on Black Metal and At War with Satan were absolutely legendary for my era of early thrash. Venom was a major part of the soundtrack and influence of those formative years.
I first saw Venom at the Palladium in Hollywood, CA in 1984. Years later, I would meet Cronos (Conrad) again while I was working with Peavey Electronics. I sold the band a dozen guitar cabinets for their stage look and sound, and Conrad and I had a great conversation on the tour bus before their show that evening at the Marquee Theatre in Tempe, AZ, circa 2007.
A true original who helped define an era and a sound.
